Lillången Sink

We finally got around to replacing the shell sink. Yes, I believe it may have been one of the world's ugliest sinks, with its shell shaped bowl and gold colored taps. "Send me back to the eighties", it pleaded... so we did. The vanity was just as bad, so we built a new door, gave it a glossy new black coat of paint and added new hardware. The 1" glass tiles are featured as a decorative backsplash. The new sink came all the way from Europe, via Ikea of course. We had to jimmy the European plumbing a little to fit but it all came together nicely. On to the next project.

I can vouch not only for this sink's beauty but its usefulness. Although the shell sink was so nice...

Can you say any more about how you "jimmied the European plumbing?" We're looking to install this sink too and are worried about what that entails...
Thank you!

Well the pipes attached to the sink were a slightly different size to the pipes in the wall. I just needed to get a rubber adapter from the local hardware store. Not a big deal in the end and a cheap fix. The sink works great.

Hi. Please help!!! When installing the drain that came with your faucet, did you use any plumbers putty, or simply follow the directions without use of any other product? Thanks! Eddie

No putty, or any other extra products were needed. The drain has a gasket that keeps it waterproof.
