Springy Legs

No comments:
With spring just around the corner we have been thinking more seriously about starting Sophie's agility training. I wanted to build her a simple jump. This is what happens to a simple little idea when you are married to an architect:
On Saturday night when all the cool kids were out at bars and clubs, we were at The Home Depot. Buying lumber. And bolts. Yes, I know you are all jealous of our glamorous life. We headed home, had a glass of wine (because where's the fun is using power tools and sharp implements while totally sober?) and headed into the man-cave. Rodney thinks it's incredibly funny to see me using tools and likes to harass me with his camera while I try to work. Lots of drilling ensued. And then putting in dowels to hold the jump bar at various heights. Clever idea, Rodney. The finished product. Ta Da!And the moment you've all been waiting for, her first jumping session:

Lesson Learned

5 comments:
So today we learned an important lesson - never leave a puppy alone in a bathroom if there is something within easy biting reach. Case in point - a roll of toilet paper. Jen came home to her usual excited welcoming party who seemed oblivious to the trail of destruction. Not only was there paper everywhere but her bed was torn apart and toys strewn everywhere. She seemed quite happy with herself actually.
