I have just realized that out of all these photos there isn't a single one that is distinctly Irish. On the other hand the parade is so big that it takes about three hours for all the bands, dance troupes, clubs, schools, military divisions and vehicles to make their way past.
The star wars costumes have actually become a highlight of the parade for many. 
Darth Vader doesn't seem too happy to have his photo taken. He's either pointing or trying to choke me with his telekinetic powers. He had about ten stormtroopers behind him and Boba Fett was there too.
