July 4th - Champlain Valley Alpacas

So we took a little break from posting but here we are back with lots of photos. For the 4th of July weekend we made a last minute decision to head up to Vermont and to our favorite Alpaca farm - Champlain Valley Alpacas. Last October we were there and had some exciting Cria births (link). This also gave us the opportunity to bring our scooter along - it was the longest trip that we have towed the trailer on but it fared well on the highways.
Here's Jen ready to head off towards the Appalachian mountains in the distance.
We stayed in the old farm house up the road but we scooted down to visit the alpacas on numerous occasions. Look this waySmileWe called this one MJ, after Michael Jackson. Just like the king of pop this alpaca seems to suffer from vitiligo. Skinny necks and woolly headsJen and the scooter on a ferry. I love the photos of the alpacas.
By the way, the Enniskillen Show will be on again first week of August. Would you like to enter some of your great photos?
